Last year my partner and I were looking for an adults-only resort and found Temptation in Cancun. Once we were there, we heard of a sister-resort called Desire. Later, we had heard of Desire through friends and saved up our money and went for a special occasion.

I did the “pre-check in” offered on their site. Previously, I had signed up with a budget transportation shuttle to take me to my hotel from the airport, and the whole ordeal took 2 hours. This time, I splurged for Desire’s private transport, and the shuttle arrived within 2 minutes of us meeting the man with the sign. From there, only 25 minutes later we arrived through the checkpoint and to the resort. Two glasses of champagne, all our paperwork… AND AN UPGRADE!!! were waiting for us. We were shocked! We were sold in the first 5 minutes to come back. No pressure for any type of tour or additional add ons.

Yeah, Desire was an older set. But a sexy older set. We are in our later 30’s and were on the younger side, but everyone was sexy, friendly and had a great time. The pool was heated. Only thing I would’ve liked was a swim up bar at the pool, but there was one in the hot tub.

There’s no pressure to swing, and if you’re having fun with your partner and someone comes up to join you, you can welcome them, or just say no.

Everything is super clean, the staff is amazing. Only areas of improvement could be the food at lunch and breakfast. It wasn’t bad, whatsoever, but everything else was so superb, it’s my only constructive criticism.

Liquor is top shelf. Drinks are strong. Pool is heated. Jacuzzi is sexy.

When I left, i was worried that I’d have some hidden charge for my wi-fi, the bottles of cava that were always being brought to my room, or the upgrade, but we left and all they asked was that I fill out a satisfaction survey.

We’d go back next week if we could. We loved every moment of it. We will definitely be back, just not soon enough.
